Step 1)
Remove
Power Window Switch.
Actually, I'm not sure
of the best way to do this. When I removed the
switches, it was in a salvage yard, and I was able to simply
reach through the hole from the missing shifter boot and
push the retaining springs in and release the switch
assembly. I suspect that a careful prying with a
flathead screwdriver may pop the assemblies loose.
Step 2)
Separate the upper and lower halves of the switch assembly.
With a small flathead screwdriver, carefully pry outward at
the 6 tabs holding the upper and lower halves together,
working the halves apart as you pry. It works best to
start at one corner and down one side, then down the other.
Separate the two halves.
Step 3)
Remove switch covers.
With a small flathead screwdriver, carefully pry outward at
the edges of the switches, popping the switch covers free.
Step 4)
Separate the lower switch halves.
Much like in step 2, with a small flathead screwdriver,
carefully pry outward at the 6 tabs holding the halves
together, working the halves apart as you pry. It
works best to start at one corner and down one side, then
down the other. Separate the two halves.
Step 5)
Remove the circuit board.
The circuit board will
slide out of the switch base.
Reassembly)
Everything snaps back together in reverse of the steps
above.
