Seat Base Removal

1. Squeeze the seat base toward the back of the car, then up, then release.  Do this for both sides. The seat base is not screwed or bolted down - it is held in place by a bar and a hook.  The bar is under constant tension, keeping it from coming loose.  There is a hook under the center of each side, so you'll have to do this once directly behind each of the front seats.  The whole seat base will come out as one assembly.
